RavensWing was born from a philosophical insight based on the Western Spiritual Traditions of Druidry. Their music features a combination of acoustic guitar, bass, mandolin, Scottish smallpipes, bodhran, keyboards, drums/percussion and haunting vocals, wrapped in a soft layer of spiritual melodies.
Ruiseart is Joint Chief of the "Gaelic Druid Order of the Southern Cross". He credits Druidry, his Gaelic heritage and a deep love and connection to Nature with the inspiration for his music. He is the driving force behind RavensWing, being the principal creative source. Ruiseart writes the majority of material, sings both lead and backing vocals, plays acoustic guitar, bass, mandolin, Scottish smallpipes and bodhran as well as being involved in the technical side of the recording process. When on stage, RavensWing is Ruiseart performing solo, playing favourites from his CD releases as well as some traditional tunes. He also includes a short set on his pipes.
John Steer provides rich backing vocals in the studio, as well as his technical expertise in sound engineering and programming.
RavensWing has three full length CD releases.
